Fukku Joins the Michelin Guide 2025, Marking a Milestone for Guernsey Dining

Fukku Celebrates Michelin Guide Inclusion in 2025

Fukku, a Japanese restaurant located on Smith Street in St Peter Port, has officially been added to the 2025 Michelin Guide, marking an important milestone for Guernsey’s culinary landscape. Established in 2022 and upgraded into a larger venue earlier this year, Fukku has built a reputation for contemporary Japanese dishes including tempura, robata, ramen and sushi, prepared with precision and served in a vibrant setting.

Sam Jarrold, owner of Fukku, says “We were very excited and surprised to be included in the Michelin Guide. It’s an incredible honour, not just for our team but for the broader Guernsey food scene.”

Fukku’s inclusion reflects Michelin’s recognition of ingredient-led cooking and distinctive concepts, qualities that have defined the restaurant since its move to Smith Street.

2025 also saw the opening of Vraic and Alba, adding diversity to Guernsey’s dining scene. Both have also been recognised in the Michelin Guide, underlining the expanding reputation of Guernsey as a destination for excellent dining.

Vraic sets a new dining standard

Opened in July 2025, Vraic offers an intimate tasting menu by Michelin-starred chef Nathan Davies. Named after the Guernésiais word for seaweed, the restaurant celebrates local produce and coastal ingredients, with dishes cooked over an open fire to reflect Guernsey’s landscape and sustainability ethos.

Alba brings Mediterranean and Caribbean flavours

Alba opened in Market Square in spring 2025, combining Mediterranean-inspired small plates with a cocktail bar influenced by 1920s Central America. Diners can enjoy vibrant flavours alongside an extensive tequila and rum selection in a lively setting with music and DJs.
